RHSC Raiders Rep Program |
Rep soccer is the Club's traveling competitive program. The Raiders represent the Club when they are playing other clubs. The Boys and Girls Raiders compete from ages Under 8 to Under 19 for youth and over 19 for senior.
The goal of the program is to give each player a solid foundation of soccer skills, to help each player gain knowledge of the game and to balance the desire to win with the goal of ensuring that all players are given the opportunity to play and contribute.
At this level of competition, success and fun do not come without some extra effort. The will to win is not enough, the player must also have the will to prepare to win. Games and practices are scheduled more frequently than the recreational House League program. For the good of the player and the team, players are expected to attend practice, to practice properly and to do all of the other things which are necessary if he/she is to become a skilled soccer player and a contributing part of a competitive soccer team.
A Rep surcharge covers the additional cost associated with this program. Coaches are certified and pre-screened by the Club.
Rep soccer has been an integral part of the Club's program for a very long time. The Club has been able to document notable achievements and performances going back to 1978. Since the Club began its operations in 1968, a ten year gap exists in this history. Anyone able to help improve the Club's historical makeup, please notify us. In addition, please note that the Raider nickname was officially adopted beginning the 1999 outdoor season. |
