Construction of a Bubble over Richmond Green East Approved

After careful deliberation, and recognition of the growing demand for an additional indoor soccer facility during the winter months, the Town of Richmond Hill has approved the construction of a bubble over the Richmond Green East artificial turf field. Construction is set to begin this year, with the completion of the structure intended for this fall.

The construction of this bubble will provide our teams and players with an additional indoor facility right here in Richmond Hill and will help accommodate the rapidly growing membership of our Club. It will also expose players in Richmond Hill to an elite level indoor facility to go along with our town's current top quality outdoor facilities - which include 3 artificial turf fields.

The bubble will be a seasonal structure, meaning it will operate during the indoor soccer months from October to April, and will be taken down each spring to allow the field to be used for outdoor soccer during the summer months. The facility is also set to feature a permanent field house which will include washrooms and offices.
