RHSC Volunteer House League Coaches


Richmond Hill Soccer Club (RHSC) is a non-profit organization which is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by other numerous dedicated volunteers from across the community. The role of the Volunteer Coach is integral to the delivery of programs, as such we are always excited to involve dependable and conscientious community members to help spread the love for the game.


Your Role:

Create a safe and fun environment emphasizing fair play, teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, responsibility and fun. Your aim is to provide each player in the RHSC House League program the opportunity to play in every game, and experience playing different positions on the field.



  • Have a desire to work with children and the ability to display enthusiasm, patience and dependability
  • Ages 14-15 are qualified to function as an Assistant Coach
  • Be punctual and attend practices/games and any scheduled meetings


  • Emphasizing fair play, teamwork, sportsmanship and fun, while teaching fundamental skills
  • Be on time for all practices and games and/or be proactive in communicating with the RHSC to find a replacement
  • Examine all fields prior to each game for unexpected hazards and ensure a safe environment
  • Deliver age-appropriate activities provided to you by RHSC
  • Conduct yourself in line with RHSC code of conduct
  • Be responsible for the children and ensure they are turned over to a parent or guardian before leaving the field
  • Notify the RHSC when your first aid kit needs to be replenished or replaced
  • Report any problems with fields, equipment, player behavior, parent behavior, or officials to RHSC
  • Abide by all officials’ decisions
  • Be accessible by phone or email
