Concussions & CAPT

Ontario is a national leader in concussion management and prevention. Under Rowan’s Law (Concussion Safety), sports organizations are required to take proactive steps to protect athletes and ensure safe participation in sport.

Rowan’s Law makes it mandatory for sports organizations to:

  • Ensure that athletes under 26 years of age, parents/guardians of athletes under 18, coaches, team trainers, and officials annually confirm they have reviewed Ontario’s Concussion Awareness Resources
  • Establish a Concussion Code of Conduct that outlines rules of behaviour to support concussion prevention
  • Implement a Removal-from-Sport and Return-to-Sport protocol

If you believe a participant may have sustained a concussion, please use our Concussion Screening Tool. This tool helps assess symptoms, directs participants to seek appropriate medical care, and automatically notifies the Club to ensure proper follow-up.
