RHSC Memorial Scholarship
The Richmond Hill Soccer Club Memorial Scholarship recognizes and supports student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to soccer, education, and their community. Established in 2010, this scholarship honours the memory of past RHSC members and celebrates the next generation of leaders who continue to embody the Club’s values of dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Since its inception, RHSC has proudly awarded over 30 scholarships to graduating high school students who have made lasting contributions both on and off the field.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the RHSC Memorial Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a graduating high school student entering a post-secondary institution in the upcoming academic year.
- Have played a minimum of five (5) years with the Richmond Hill Soccer Club in any program (Recreational, Competitive, or OPDL).
- Maintain a minimum academic average of 75% or higher in their final year of high school.
Scholarship Details
- Award Amount:
- Successful candidates may receive up to $1,500 in financial support.
- Number of Awards:
- Multiple scholarships are awarded each year, based on the strength of the applications and available funds.
- Proof of Enrollment:
- Recipients must submit confirmation of enrollment at a recognized post-secondary institution (college or university) by July 31 of the award year to claim their scholarship.
Application Process
Applicants are asked to complete the RHSC Memorial Scholarship Application Form, which includes:
- Personal and academic information
- A short essay outlining your soccer journey with RHSC, community involvement, and future goals
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or community leader
Completed applications can be submitted via email to info@richmondhillsoccer.com or delivered to the RHSC office.
Important Dates
- Application Deadline: August 1 each year
- Proof of Enrollment Submission: July 31 of the award year
