OPL Men's Team

The Richmond Hill Raiders OPL Men’s Team serves as RHSC’s first team within the Ontario Premier League landscape. This program provides a high-performance environment for senior players pursuing advancement within the semi-professional game. The team plays a key role in RHSC’s player pathway, offering a competitive platform that bridges high-performance youth soccer, the OPL U20 League, and future Ontario Premier League opportunities.

OPL Men's Coaching Staff

Henrich Svetko - Head Coach & High Performance Manager

Henrich, a former professional soccer player in his native Slovakia, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him, having worked in the soccer world for over 20 years. Currently RHSC's High Performance Manager, Henrich has served on our Club's Technical Coaching Staff since January 2015 in various positions.


Prior to his role with RHSC, Henrich excelled in his coaching role with Ontario Soccer, where he served as a Provincial Team Head Coach for the 1995, 1997, and 1998 Boys. During this time with Ontario Soccer, he led the U15 Boys to a Canadian National Championship Gold Medal in 2012 and 2013 and led the U16 Boys to a Canadian National Championship Silver Medal in 2011.

Courses & Licenses: National A License, UEFA A License, NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma, Ontario Soccer Technical Director and Goalkeeper Diploma.

Alex Caterenciuc - Assistant Coach

Alex competed in south-east Europe (Moldova) between 1995-2005 as a soccer player in the CF role. Alex also competed in high-level futsal between 2005-2008. He has been coaching with RHSC since 2015.


He loves creating and leading team environments that achieve concrete measurable goals. Coaching allows Alex to explore his creative side while still applying practical skills when working with players. He hopes to become a professional coach one day with an MLS, European, or National team.


His coaching strategy is simple: "Small daily wins create the big ones!". His soccer philosophy is to dictate the rhythm of the game.


Courses & Licenses: National B License, MED, RIS, MHWIS

Tryouts

The Ontario Premier League represents a top-tier high-performance environment within the player pathway. Players interested in competing at this level must be fully committed to training 3–4 times per week, in addition to one match per week. This program is geared primarily toward university and college-level players in Canada and the United States, including those currently rostered or training within post-secondary programs. The 2026 outdoor season will primarily feature athletes born between 2004 and 2006, with select older players included based on experience and fit within the squad.
