Richmond Hill Soccer Club is proud to be home to an Ontario Premier League program that includes participation in the OPL U20 division. This program is designed for talented women’s players born in 2007 and 2008, providing a high-performance environment that supports continued development within Ontario’s elite player pathway.
The introduction of the OPL U20 division serves as a critical bridge between high-performance youth soccer and senior Ontario Premier League competition, offering a standards-based platform for the next generation of OPL players.

Daniel Zangolli is an experienced Canadian coach with over 23 years in the game, working across
youth, collegiate, and high-performance environments. He is currently the Head Coach of the OPL U20 Women’s Team at RHSC and the Assistant & Goalkeeper Coach for the Lakehead University Orillia Men’s Varsity Program.
Daniel previously competed as a semi-professional goalkeeper with the York Region Shooters and played in both OUA men’s varsity competition and the OSL. His coaching background includes roles with Georgian College Men’s and Women’s Varsity programs and four seasons with Seneca Sting Women’s Varsity, where he contributed to winning one OCAA gold and one OCAA silver. He brings over two decades of coaching experience supported by more than 35 years of multi-sport athletic development, including soccer, hockey, volleyball, and basketball.
Daniel is committed to building clear structures, improving individual player habits, and creating a high-performance training environment grounded in accountability and development.
Courses & Licenses: National B License, NCI Advanced Coaching Diploma, Ontario Soccer Goalkeeper Coach Diploma
Andrew has worked extensively in high-performance environments, leading fitness and technical Individual Development Program (IDP) training for North Mississauga’s OPDL and League1 Ontario programs. He has also served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Toronto, supporting multiple varsity teams including men’s and women’s soccer. Andrew is known for his strong emphasis on technical skill refinement and movement quality, helping athletes develop both physically and tactically at elite levels. Andrew also competed in League1 Ontario for three seasons.
Andrew is motivated by the connection between individual ability and the tactical demands of the game. He is passionate about player growth and takes pride in seeing individual development translate into meaningful impact on the field. He values the people, the environment, and the club’s long-term vision. He appreciates that RHSC creates opportunities not only for coaches, but for players and the broader soccer community as well.

The OPL U20 program serves as a continuation of the OPDL U17 and IModel C1 U17 pathway, providing a high-performance environment for players preparing for the next level. Athletes interested in participating must be fully committed to training 3–4 times per week, plus weekly match play. This program is designed primarily for pre-university and pre-college players who are working toward earning a soccer scholarship in Canada or the United States. The 2026 outdoor season will mainly focus on players born in 2007 and 2008.
