OPL Women's Team

The Richmond Hill Raiders OPL Women’s Team serves as RHSC’s first team within the Ontario Premier League landscape. This program provides a high-performance environment for senior players pursuing advancement within the semi-professional game. The team plays a key role in RHSC’s player pathway, offering a competitive platform that bridges high-performance youth soccer, the OPL U20 League, and future Ontario Premier League opportunities.

OPL Women's Coaching Staff

Andrew Cairns - Head Coach

Andrew Cairns joined Richmond Hill Soccer Club in 2025 and brings over a decade of coaching experience across multiple competitive levels. Prior to RHSC, he spent 12 years with Markham SC, coached both the men’s and women’s programs at Seneca College, and served as a coach at NCAA Division I side Alabama State University. He also spent three seasons in League1 Ontario with Alliance United. As a former goalkeeper, Andrew’s playing background includes time at Iowa Central Community College, Goldey-Beacom College (NCAA Division II), and Seneca College.

Driven by a passion to help players reach their full potential and achieve their goals, Andrew is excited to be part of RHSC’s growing high-performance environment. He looks forward to building something special alongside the Club’s dedicated coaches and players.

Courses & Licenses: National B License, National Youth License, Advanced Analysis Certificate from APFA, PFSA, & IPSO

Hajra Khan - Assistant Coach

Hajra joined RHSC in 2025 and brings extensive experience in the game. She is the former captain of the Pakistan National Team, leading the program for over eight years and becoming Pakistan's all-time leading goal scorer in the process. She has also competed professionally in Germany, the Maldives, and the United States, and is a 3x Guinness World Record holder.

She has a National C Diploma and is passionate about women's soccer. She founded Fortis Sports Academy in Pakistan where she has designed and led sport-for-development programs across the country to ensure youth, especially girls, have equal access to opportunities through sport. Beyond her impact on the pitch, Hajra is also and UNICEF Pakistan Mental Health Champion and a Mental Health Ambassador for the British Asian Trust.

Tryouts

The Ontario Premier League represents a top-tier high-performance environment within the player pathway. Players interested in competing at this level must be fully committed to training 3–4 times per week, in addition to one match per week. This program is geared primarily toward university and college-level players in Canada and the United States, including those currently rostered or training within post-secondary programs. The 2026 outdoor season will primarily feature athletes born between 2004 and 2006, with select older players included based on experience and fit within the squad.


RHSC is hosting open tryouts for the OPL Women’s Team on the following dates at Richmond Green Sports Dome:

  • Friday, December 5, 2025 – 7:30 PM
  • Friday, December 12, 2025 – 7:30 PM
  • Sunday, December 28, 2025 – 6:00 PM
  • Monday, December 29, 2025 – 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday, December 30, 2025 – 7:30 PM

Additional tryout dates will be announced on an ongoing basis.
